| I feel that MGK is quite good cos they get better rate to play at OCC and waiver of booking at Marina Bay. |

| Im joining MGK for HC maintenance and insurance coverage.
Seems like this is the cheapest in town. ($160.00 PA) but must be a member of NTUC. |

i agreed if u consider insurance. But if u are not NTUC member, then u r paying 160+117=$277 in total
hence, if u join SSG, the yearly charge is 70+85 for insurance = $155 in total, which is cheaper than NTUC and the insurance coverage is better than NTUC. But i think now they limit the members to 500 yearly and require to be introduce by 2 existing members.
But i still join MGK as it cheaper to play in OCC and MBGC... hope this help. |

| To add, there is an $9 (?) monthly subscription fee for NTUC (or union) member. So add $108 to your check.
If you are already a union member, MGK is good option.
For MBGC, you can pay $10.70/yr to be the MBGC card member and waived off booking fee.
The other trend mention SGA force you to play 1 tournament/quarter. Don't know how much is the participation fee/greenfee.
To add to the list, there are MyGolfClub and Golfer.SG.Club (by Poh Brother). |

| I thought initially that Union members is a bit waste of money, but it's all right 'lah'... cos you can get few benefits... like Fairprice points, booking of CC etc etc. Just look under their website...
But the main benefit for MGK is playing at OCC (for me at least).... |

| from handicap faq of MGK website:
Do I need to update my handicap regularly?
One is required to update his handicap at least once a year. Please note that one's golf membership will not be activated if valid handicap is not being submitted upon membership registration / renewal i.e one will not be able to ballot for golf pass to play at Orchid Country Club.
Associate members are required to submit the valid and recognised local handicap to my golf kaki via fax or email upon each membership registration and renewal before he is allowed to ballot for golf pass.
Ordinary/Senior/Junior member is to ensure that his handicap is updated on a yearly basis. Members are required to get their membership cards endorsed by my golf kaki at least once a year. They can do so at the my golf kaki office located at Marina Bay Golf (80 Rhu Cross #01-02 Singapore 437437). |
