Exciting round with GMac overcoming a 3up to win his game.
Team US was a let down.
I wonder why Keegan Bradley and Webb Simpson were on the team...

i was also surprised that Tom Watson sent out the rookies first. EUR just needed 4 points to retain the cup and it will be game over if the first 4 were to lose. Jordon Spieth was really good at first with 3 up on GMAC but he lost his form from hole 7 onwards. Rose got away too with Mahan bad chip on hole 18 to give away half the point. Game would have been over if not because Stenson didn't convert the putt to half the game with Patrick Reed.

Talking about Patrick Reed, I really hate this guy. Find him very arrogant.

Patrick Reed and Jordan Speith played well la. Rookies yes, but damn bloody good performance from them, i must say. Much better than the veterans (you know who).

I like it that Patrick went on to incite the crowd, very much like Ian at Medina. Hahaha.

On the contrary, Rickie played like crap. Jimmy Walker was practically saving his ass throughout the tourney.

Bro, USA "Pao Su" looking at their game. Plus even if TW play, also cannot win. Losing 4 points is big margin. Europe probably loosen a bit and gave face to USA after the winning point by Jamie Donalson.

I know it's easy to say with hindsight, while sitting on our sofas but having the right captain is important.....USA doesn't do well with old school captains like hal sutton or tom watson and need to be coddled and listened too...even Europe rebelled against the very unpopular nick faldo.....in the last ryder cup, it came down to the singles and the players let down DLIII....nothing he can do there.....but generally, USA respond to a buddy such as a Freddie Couples....the pod concept sounds like BS but at least the players seemed to enjoy it....

What's up with bubba watson?.....he's been sulking around for the past 3 months and scored zero points in the ryder cup....and for the love of golf, never let hunter mahan chip in the ryder cup again.....!!!!

bottom line...winning teams love their captains....losing teams love their wives....

golfool, I love to watch Mahan really and you can always rely on him to fxxk up his chip. Having said that, I love his swing and his putting was good.

totally agree, I wonder why the PGA never made Freddy C a Ryder Cup captain yet? he has great success/record in the Presidents Cup and while I reckon both cups are vastly different in terms of opposition standard, the US folks rally well around Freddy!

maybe they have to turn to Paul Azinger, the last successful US captain in 2008 and read his book!!

other than Sir Nick, I think EU does well with most of their captains, even Paul had ex-cap Jose by his side and vice versa in Medinah
I think next in line will be Pradig H (considering he also multiple Major champion) or maybe the cigar smoking Spaniard!!

Actually Watson took it quite well, in front of the camera at least

Watson responded that they both have different opinions,  that's all

For me, this is a team event, should stick together thru thick and thin

Such differing views expressed should be behind closed doors

Similar to Faldo ' s statement that Garcia is useless when Faldo was European captain. I thought that was below the belt from a 'knight' booooooo

That shot by hunter mahan, is he trying to do a Phil flop? I saw him taking a big practice swing and does not look confident at all. He is 1 up on 18, no need to take such a big risk right???

Well, just my 2 cents. He is a pro and I am a hacker, what do I know

@skybobo, we can't see the undulations of the green, so Mahan must have reasons behind that shot. I do however, enjoyed seeing the ball flew over the green. Very Happy
