Well, i didn't play Austin as a beginner.. played 1st time only about end of last year.
But no, din lose that many.. about 4 i think?

Today i lost 3. One in the water and two in right thick rough.. but i think Austin 9 is the toughest of the lot.. Smile Par 3s all 190m and above...

Well, here is my report..

Weather forecast says possible thunderstrom but I came back with sun burnt all over...

Played Austin 9 late morning and Hills 9 after a short water break. No flight behind, hence could play slowly, and look for ball.

Austin 9 - lost 1 ball, very hilly, and bouncy FW. left or right, your ball will bounce back to the FW. Bunker - don't be fool by the thin layer of sand on top. 1 cm down is red hard sand. Green is a real challenge, slope up, slope down, some hard as rock.

Hills 9 - lsot 6 balls ( 2 into water @ hole 9), nicer green, (except one with an inclined slope) softer ground, maybe it is because they just watered the place, especially the green. Because it is so hilly, most of the time, you can see beyond 150m as it is down hill.

Overall, quite a Commando course for me, maybe because first time, I am new to the game, but nice experience, will try again, cheap too, I think. RM $140 for 2 ball, each only RM$70 or S$30

Cheers
