PostSubject: Ping G30 SF Tec   Fri Apr 24, 2015 3:20 pm

Hi there

is anyone using the G30 SF Tec driver willing to kindly share his feedback? I'm in the look for a new driver and this one looks similar to my old K15, which was probably the best fairway finder I've ever played. My usual miss with the driver is on the left, so from what I've read the SF sounds a better choice than the standard G30.

hi, i think the sf tec helps fight a slice though. i'm using the standard g30 and loving it.

This driver is an absolute cannon.

I've owned a few Ping drivers in the past and currently have a G25 driver in the bag. I borrowed this spec G30 off my friend recently - it is  crazy straight and very forgiving. It genuinely is tough to miss with it.

Certainly has a draw bias that will help to reduce fades/slices. It’s fast off the face and is also really high launching which might be seen as a con to some as you maybe won’t get max roll….but who cares when you’re in the fairway!

I’m not a huge fan of the turbulators but that’s my only real negative.

Would I get rid of my G25 for a G30? Maybe in the future but I’ll wait for the price to slide on the G30 first J

Maybe coz like you, I love my K15 ( 3 wood in my case). I think it is make for draw bias.... Work for me..!

I'm a beginner in golf, around 7 mths. My G30 SF Tec is very forgiving, straight balls, easily reach 190-200m.

Have an almost new g30 10.5 for sale. Japanese spec regular.
This is the "normal" version.
Selling as I bought the g30 9* Smile
Not the longest driver I have hit. But the most forgiving.

Tried the SF Tec with Tour AD MT shaft on the range.

Very forgiving and looong. High ball flight sure but for me that translate to huge carry.

I have a natural draw ball flight and even if the specs are slightly closed, surprisingly it was not a hook machine. It gave me a nice baby draw instead.

Contemplated between the G30 and the G30 SF TEc. Bought the SF Tec due to shorter shaft and a useful driver when the swing refuse to cooperate.

Haha lets see how it goes with the regio formula shaft.

Also have the romaro 460hx and ryoma d1 to battle it out.

rsenal bro has good taste -- lol.
G30 is forgiving.

I have the regio formula shaft (Reg flex) with G30 adaptor.
Anyone interested?
I need a slightly stiffer shaft.
