Golf more poisonous than tracking, bad idea to switch hahaha

Tracking in Dubai was really good fun, especially since trackdays were almost every 2 weeks and i live just ten minutes from the autodrome Smile

But it got tiring driving around in a track monster, to work, shopping and home. Was more noisy inside car than outside since I have no sound insulation. In the end, sold the evo and got an RS4

if i could afford a RS4, i would switch without a moment's breath. Nice ride and yea i do agree that driving around a fully done track car can be a huge pain.

Bro, my RS4 in Dubai cost SGD80k. In Singapore, SGD80k won't even buy me a Camry Razz

Must be crazy not to at least have a chance to drive and own one of these while I still can Very Happy

to put things in context,

A Porsche Cayman S costs SGD100k in Dubai, fully optioned, brand new
My RS4, which I bought as a 2 year old car, cost SGD80k
My Evo 8 MR RS which I bought used at 1 year old, cost less than SGD40k
A full tank (62l) of petrol (98) costs me SGD30.

I come back to SG for holiday, my Nissan Sylphy costs me SGD1.6k to rent, and each tank of petrol is SGD77. PENGSAN la.

On the other hand, one round of golf in Legends JB costs RM88, while a round of golf at The Montgonerie costs more than 4 times more, and a round at The Els Club costs around RM600 Sad

Win some, lose some

true true! But to be fair, the amount of money, time and labour they spend on maintaining each course to perfection is really something. you know the course conditions when the WGC Race to Dubai was played? that's how the courses are -- perfectly manicured fairways and greens, no botak patches, beautiful landscaping, the first cut of rough is manicured and consistent, second cut is nightmare, and bunkers have sand so fine that women might think it is powder.

yeah, THAT amazing. I miss playing golf in Dubai. in summer, rates are MUCH lower, around SGD80 per round since no one is crazy enough to play in 45C to 50C heat (except kiam kanas like me hahaha)
