Currently, I am using a Scotty Titleist and i think it may not be suitable to me. What would you recommend in replacement for the current model

Such an open question. Do you at least know what shapes, weight, length you like?

I personally love 2-ball putters as it helps with alignment but now i use the new newport as it feels super soft, which i like.

I am a scotty fan and wants a heavy putter head. When I starter I play with odessey white hot (newport style). I am not a mallet person.

You may try the two ball (feel is really good), some scotty mallet, Bettinardi.

Best you walk in to some golf shops and try several putters to see what you are comfortable with.

For those who have a bigger Budget for a putter; which IMHO is the most important club in the bag which can help reduce the most stroke on the score card can try out Yamada handmade or hand milled.

The Yamada putters are head heavy and soft when putted, it promotes a smoother roll as compared to my previous Scotty putter.

U have to try it before u know what suits u.

Why do you think it is not suitable for you? Personally, I believe that putting is a feel thing and so is your putter. you need to feel good about the putter and thus increase your confidence. So I suggest you try different putters or get a fitter to help you out.

always determine whether you are a blade or mallet putter first before looking at brands

Hey there Gcwlim,

When you have time, bring the Scotty for a loft and lie check. Also the length and total weight is an important factor that contributes to better feel.

You may not need to even change putters. Every putter has its characteristics and until you find one, the next step is to find a Golf Professional to help you on your putting stroke. You can also ask your Golf Pro at your home club or driving range and see whether any technical change can be done.

Hope you putt better and reduce the total putts per round in the near future.

Cheers.. Atiq

I would say, just go to any golf store and try out all the putters until you feel like "this is the one"

Best is to try out ur Golf kakis Golf putter, irons, woods and driver. It allows to experiment diff combo, Brand and setting.

Be it "the one" or "can be the one", u will only know it after a few rounds on the course. Once u like it, u will work ard the corners to make it "the" one for u.

Highly recommend Yamada putters.
There are blade and half-mallets to try.

Yamada. Not yamaha..

If u see properly, u will see Yamada putter in both our WITB.

If it's not good, the putter would have Long be "put on sale" in Golfsite or GR marketplace.

Some Clubs have tie up with Acushnet

You can loan any one of their current model of Scotty and play 18 hole

Then you can have a feel of how the putter works for you in the golf course

You will first need to determine what kind of putting stroke you have, whether a straight back / straight thru upright style or more of an open door/ close door stroke.

This is to help determine the kind of offset / goose neck that suits your stroke.

Once that is determined, go search for the head that suits your eye for ease of alignment.

it is not about brands or price. it's about what suits your tempo and alignment.

If you are serious about getting a putter that suits you, go get fitted by a professional putter fitter.

I know i benefited from this and shaved a couple of strokes from my handicap.

Hope this helps.

Cheers
