PostSubject: Legend Golf @ Kulai   Mon Jan 04, 2010 8:20 pm

hi ppl.. i just came back from legend.. thinking of giving a FR.

it all started off with quite a long journey to Legend GCC via second link... had chicken rice on the way there. Upon arrival, the place was actually quite empty, it looked quite classy with the dark wood pillars and resort-like chairs. after paying, i went to the changing room and got ready to tee off. the changing room was clean and quite spacious but just abit Old... it was super sunny and hot at around 12.30pm when i Tee offed.. the course was well maintained, the fairway and the green was nice and green, however, the tee box needs a little touch up.
i played HILL course and WATER course. i must say , it is quite a challenging course.. the bunker placements, the water hazzards were affecting my game.. And i must say.. the course is VERY LONG... the Par 4s were average 400++ meters and the par 5s were 500+ meters for blue tee. Also, the fairways are very narrow and the greens are very small making the 2on difficult. i blew 3 holes with tripple bogeys. haha... Overall, i enjoyed the course and scored 91.. i definitely will return 1 day to challenge this tough course again... i would say its very cheap for a course this well maintained!

course - 7/10
service - 6/10
buggy - 8/10
changing room - 7/10
price - 8/10

overall 7/10

CheerS!

If you go there before 10, you can choose for 88 with caddy or 68 without caddy.

Legend Golf @ Kulai is one of the best courses I liked.

The course is challenging and well maintained with class.
The staff are friendly and the caddies are remarkably hardworking.
Scenery there is very beautiful.

It's one of my favorite weekend courses. Except for the lounge, where the drinks are very costly, I think its a very worth course.

Found the place 2 years ago when it is a must to plau with caddy.

It is easy for me as season beginner as caddy will help you with most of the things like racking the sand, take the next club for you. putting line reading, etc.

Only down side is that sometimes are is a lot of green 'damaged' by wild boar when they come out at night to dig into the soil for food.

Yes, I played at Legend for the first time over CNY. Loved the course, very well maintained and very scenic. I didn't find the shower rooms very dated though. I liked the rain-shower heads...therapeutic.
If you think these shower rooms are a tad old, wait till you see Palm Resort in Senai.

Any idea what are the caddies like? local men or indon ladies?

Heard (some news article) sometime last year a whole batch of Indon lady caddies were taken away, suspected to be offering other 'services'... didn't mention Legends directly though but how many courses are there in Kulai?.....

I know JGCC uses local men, cos walking course, and HHGC have China and Indon lady caddies. (quite good looking ones, too.)

Anyway, Legends is a good course, just a bit too far unless you have the whole day free.

Agree! Heard plenty of same story too. There may be some truth in it. Shocked

There are mostly ladies caddies but you can ask for some experience caddies which read the lines perfectly Like any malaysian caddy. There is one Men caddy ,but has to be book in advance . His name is Muss and his tip is expecting to be at least 80RM

Here are some tips on the caddies at legend......they are only 2 malaysian lady caddies and the rest are Indo.....choose the not so good looking one bec they are the hard working one and they read the green really well....advice from Muss the caddies Master.
