I went to a customed fitting session. This guy is really a master. He didn't even use any swing analysis SW or hi-tech equpiment or measuring tape.

He just black taped my iron slot and ask me to hit on a lie plane. Did only twice and straight away told me I need a 4 degree change to the lie because it is near the heel.

Next he passed me a dummy iron with the right lie and ask me to hit a few shots and tell me my swing needs to be changed to cater for the new lie. Spent the next 1 hour telling me how and corrected my swing on the spot. Swing a few type of shaft and concluded I don't need to change the loft, handle grip and length.

I was impressed because by using the dummy iron(no name one) it went 50m further than my Mizzy iron using the correct swing. Wow..

8i previously 100m++ now with extra 50m is 150m++ that is long.

a quick calculation..your 5i should be 180m now..putting your driver at abt 230m range....

that is long for a high handicapper...i assume high, u mean more than hcp24?!

what is the iron brand and model?
