I think what chocoman is trying to say is, when we said we are going the short cut way should it be called tiger line or target line. We normally say tiger line though I am not sure if its correct or not.

Tiger line

To hit a shot straight for the green, often on a par four, and also often over an obstacle. It is an homage to Tiger Woods

Ever heard of the Techno-line?

It's the line of the ball flight from tee to bushes about 100m on the right.
