Hi All,
Over the last 3 weeks, I have been making frequent trips to this place I have rediscovered.
I had originally wanted to keep it a secret due to the fantastic benefits...

Managed to borrow DVDs on the game of golf. From fundamentals of the swing, to short game techniques, to putting... Books on course management, design and of course the swing... All FREE!!!

Thank goodness for the library system!

But seriously, for those that can be borthered, there are heaps of resources avalible.. My favourate is still the internet b'cos that can be done at work. No need to waste personal time.

jaketang: LIBRARY LA!!!

But seriously, I was rather surprised that there was so much stuff there on Golf. Wife borrow some Yoga DVDs, I am still looking for my Yo Kah DVDs...

Some of the DVDs really good. Watching one now that actually explains the swing beginning to end and has actually helped me to understand a bit more about the fundamentals of the game: ie: What is the ideal grip for ME. and how to identify I have gripped the club correctly.

If you can get pass the intimidating thickness of the book, lots of people recommend Dave Pelz short game.

Dave Pelz's Putting Bible is good also.

Been reading Pelz's book and also compilation of classic horror 1940-1970s comics 500+ page anthology.

My golf game is gruesome horror lately anyways affraid , but Pelz really goes into depth about putting science and art.

one DVD which i really like is David Leadbetter's Faults & Fixes with Nick Price. They work through all the fundamentals, and Nick Price is a fantastic ballstriker.

I read the Pelz's Bible. Man... was it long and naggy and very technical. To read it as a book of statistics actually is quite interesting.

One of the topics he touched on was how long iron's tendencies for dispersion is more short than long and how short irons at approach of 120 yards are always with minimal inaccuracy in distance but more dispersion inaccuracies on either side of the hole. In fact the data showed that more miss to the right than left. Interesting huh.

Anyways, anybody here wants the softcopy? I can try to dig it out from my HD and see if it is small enough to send by email to you guys?

From the Library:
Try getting
Digital Golf School - The Swing, by Simon Holmes

Dewey Decimal Classification: 796.3523

Run Time: 82 mins
Contents
Swing Introduction
Fundamentals
Building the Chain Reaction
Full Swing
How To Practice
Drills & Problem-Solving
On the Course
The Driver

What I liked, he builds up the swing slowly from a 1/4 swing to the full swing and explains in simple english, the building blocks and how they gel together.
