But not sure if they could score as well if the fairway and greens are not wet and receptive.

Great to know Justin....Rose....eventually managed to notch one......

My only request to the media folks.....STOP glamourizing the younger golfers on tour....too much stylo ....and PLS stop any comparison or any attempt to even suggest that they might supercede the current Tier 1 golfers....till they at least win a major...or some tier -1 tourneys

Duval, i disagree with you on this.... reasons being, go check the stats on a average pga pro. They hardly come in top ten in the first 5 years of their pga tour. These youngsters are changing the way golf is to be played and also put those people like phil on a guard because jsut because tiger is not playing well, doesnt mean you can win or be no.1 easily, the young kids are catching up. But of course experience do play a part in golf. An example, Rhye davis, coming in 2nd on back to back european tours. While a german who lead for 3 days came fumbling down on the last day to let Graeme won the wales open.

1st year on tour, Rickie is already ranked 52nd in the world for all his solid play.

The kid is young but he definitely has game. I followed him in Q school last year and already you can tell he is definitely a better ball striker than most who were there.

Sometimes the media just overdo it... may not be good for the young golfers

Rickie will bounce back. He seems to have a good head on top of his shoulders. With more time and experience, he'll be challenging again.

I look him up up wan! Very Happy

No matter what... mental strength is the key to most successful sportsman. Without the mental, a crucial 3 ft putt can look like a 30ft putt.

i think for those young turks, they have no fear and thats what they need to challenge the norm.

the best of the programme for me was when Jack Nicklaus was co-commenting. He was asked what he think of RF swing in and he commented that he was glad they did not have the high speed camera back in his days. too much analysis is going on these days - even the network wants to play god!!! he did not say that but he can see that his co-commentators was caught off guard.

Just aim and swing the god &%#@ club. thats what happened to JR on the final day. if you bother to find out what he is learning these days, its no wonder why he approached the final day differently. distinctively his final day play was very different from the rest who are within the 3rd day leader score.

when the pupil is ready, the teacher will appear...clue

Do agree that the young guns are good...my personal fav right now is actually the Rhys chap....saw him on Celtic (via tube of cos)....and I really hope he can make it for the Ryder..that will be a blast.

However I just hope they don get too big-headed....coz at the end of the day, its about majors.....(just my personal KPI)

Yeap Duval, if you ask me, i think this 25 yr old chap has one of the smoothest putting i have seen on TV. However, if you remember the madrid open, where he was with Luke Donald on the final round. Its just shows that experience pays off. He may be hitting the ball longer than Luke but if you notice, he was swing harder after every hole while Luke was swinging easier after every hole... Mental strength pays off once again.
