i think the whole drainage system in singapore needs to be reviewed. its got worse with the weather now after all the new construction the last few years.

not sure if the water catchment system and the damming of the rivers and extra drainage capacity required after new buildings are put up are all throw out of whack these few years.

Hmmm.....from the point of 'Watson', I think it all boils down to one Contractor. He must be the same one contracted to get rid of the debris from current massive construction works around Orchard road and he just dumped them into the drainage system when noone was looking. Result?? Orchard area flooded. Now he was contracted to get rid of the debris from the choked area once again and he quietly disposed them into other drains in other part of Singapore. Result?? The other parts of Singapore flooded. Now wonder who is this main contarctor is leh ????Need more investigation by 'Watson'

Looking at the 1st two pictures, it seems that the driver of the car is trying to claim insurance. He is pushing his car deeper into the flood water rather than the other way round hahahhahahhahaha lol!

Hope you newbie drivers knows how to tackle a flood situation when or if you are caught in one. If your exhaust pipe is below the level of the water, you better don't try to test if your car is a submarine. It surely will become one WITH engine failure confirmed ! If exhaust pipe higher than the flood water level you can still safely risked it but I won't be responsible if a heavy truck drove by causing waves choking your exhaust pipe or you will think that I am a liar.... lol!

Surely somewhere along the line, someone had botched up the drainage systems in a big way.

Even the Sand Bunkers in some of the Golf Clubs are not spared.

The sand practically sank in.

Some tree uprooted .....

Yes, saw the tree that fell onto the CTE (towards Yishun), blocking all 4 lanes. Poor cars, saw all of them sitting motionless. Also saw e a car with branches on top of it. Wondered how long it took to clear the CTE....
