Hi I think we gone thru same topic on the iphone 3 about how to prolong battery life. Basic is if can live as long as possible without data roaming, switch that off until you need it then on. After using, switch it off again. The data roaming consumed large amount of power. The other one is adjust the brightness to about 1/3. Anyway, there s a sensor which will brighten for you when you are using in a not too bright environment. Last one is closed your past applications by pressing the Home Button twice and your past Apps will appear at the bottom. To close this, press the old apps and don't let go for a couple of seconds and the apps will tremble with red *minus* signs. Just touch the red sign one by one, it will close there after. This are small little things which will help the iphone to reduce power consumption. Hope this helps. Oh by the way, I am PC illiterate kekekkek.... Learnt from bros here and googled.

| i've been a Iphone user since its first generation iphone2G came out. the Iphone4 battery life is at least a 30%-50% better then the 3GS. With my heavy usage, my 3GS can only last me till about 4-5pm everyday. Now with iphone4, i can last till the night without even getting the warning. I guess this is the same for all smartphones (except blackberry).
Of course you cannot compare to the traditional phones. My nokia used to last me 3-4days without charging. |

| was that the reason why i am holding on to my bold 9700??
But my new toy, SE X10 is killing me with the battery. I need to charge once at night and once in the noon to keep it running, else it will die in 3/4 day! |

| I read somewhere that the battery life is due to the new OS4. Ever since i upgraded the OS for my 3GS, battery life drastically shortened.
Just rec'd my iphone4 today, shucks looks like going to be same issues again. Regret regret. |

I also noticed slow down with OS4, was hoping the iphone4 would correct battery issues. Probably worth getting an extra battery. |
