Hi Dave,

My name is not Duval but I don mind folks calling me Duval.

As for categorization of balls condition, it depends and very berry subjective. My take is based on the scratches and color......eg. no scratch, no dis-coloring....then 8-10 rate

Personally I hope you can start to golf and join us for range and games go fwd. My take, 2 sell something, one need to be passionate about it.......except love of coz...

wow.. young entrepreneur?

anyway golf in malaysia is still cheaper than here. you don't have to play it to sell golf balls.
i suppose you supply balls in malaysian courses? then its pretty much the same.

if you want to specialise in better quality balls, then selling here is better. otherwise common balls will not sell well here.
There is a reason most of the best durians in malaysia make it here than being sold in malaysia.. What a Face

hey ! thx alot for the tips man.

yes. i supply lots of golf balls in malaysia and would like to bring it in to singapore.

i have all ranges of balls. be it good quality or be it those used for range.

im going to come up with a list of golf balls that i carry but i really do not know what price to quote.
i dont want to have no customer because its to pricey nor do i want to make a lost.

for pricing you will have to figure it out yourself.
only you know your cost.
golfers will buy according to what they know they can get.
since most do play in malaysia, i don't think the price should be too far..

so if a ball in malaysia can fetch RM$5, den singapore would be S$2.50 ?

and sorry but i dont quite get what u mean " golfers will buy according to what they know they can get "

bro,

if i know i can buy a used ball at near mint condition at S$2.50.. will i pay more? or if the ball is not near mint, will i still pay S$2.50?

that is what i mean by golfers will buy according to what they know they will get for a certain market rate.. it is not fixed.. but some will be willing to pay more, some won't.

if you want to rate your ball quality, please use your own standards or look it up at other numerous used balls websites.

I give you some examples.

Mint: as good as out of the box
Near Mint: lost a bit of lustre but no scuff or blemish
Good: 1 minor scuff or blemish
Average: 2 minor scuff or blemish
Poor: 1 major scuff

Hi Dave,

Welcome to the forum. FYI, in SG, used balls can be as cheap as 3 for S$1. Of course, these balls have a bit of used marks and usually they do not have big/ deep cuts or scuffs. Buyers can choose freely from 1 big tub. So sometimes u can be lucky to find balls that are almost new, except for some user's marking.

For new balls they can be as cheap as S$0.67 per ball. Brand is Slazenger/ Dunlop. Not so popular here, but still can be bought.

So u may want to use this as a guideline to set ur price. Good luck in ur business Smile
