| Just curious, how many drivers do you have with you now at home?
If your answer is 15 and more, you are either a club fitter or collector.... |

| 1st one Callaway Warbird. 2nd Callaway Hawkeye. 3rd McGregor Mectec 4th Taylormade R7 5th Callaway Diablo
Still prefer the 3rd one; so 4th and 5th given to friends, 1st and 2nd in storeroom. |

hmmm.....tell us the truth......seriously how many more!!!
That's it, really. It doesn't matter, to be honest. I'll suck with one driver or with one hundred drivers. _________________ Clearing my Storeroom of golfing goodies. | Tot driver is an overrated tool in the golf bag. You dun really need it to play well but yet so much money and trouble to find a good one. On average we putt more than 30 times in a game and use the driver at most 14 times??
hahaha...... just my humble opinion. |

| Which club is not overrated/underrated?
i broke 90 with 35 putts but cannot even break 100 with 31 putts... all clubs are just as important to a certain extent

| a bad driver will cost you a lot of strokes, either badly fitted equip or bad swing.
one will try to kill the ball (for many reasons) with the driver = more mistakes.
Its the only club where distance is more important for normal golfers = more mistakes
Its a penis measuring tool, therefore longer is better = more mistakes
plus guys generally like to hit it hard rather than stroke it slow
for putters, most can putt relatively straight, they just cannot control the speed (not entirely due to putter) and read the green.
Also for drivers in general newer is better (can argue) but a 10yo putter can be just as good or better.
btw in about 2 years of inactive golfing,
BB460 Sumo5900 9015D 905R 983K
so far the Sumo5900 is still here. i go for all the cheapo drivers...

| Bro Tohkh, Pros avg 30 putts a round, the best ones about 29.xx. Their avg score is 69.xx I putt 36 a round and my avg score is low-mid 90s. 20-25 score differential between a pro and me, only 6 contributed by putting. Anyways, this thread is not about what club is more important.....simply how many drivers you have...dun be so opinionated ah bro |

For me, a good drive gives far more satisfaction than a good putt. Nothing beats the satisfaction of hearing a loud "piang" followed by a long drive splitting the fairway. Believe it or not, the type of sound that a driver makes is important when I choose a driver. Thats why I changed 5 drivers and have changed putter only once. The putter was not even purchased; but a used putter given to me FOC by my boss. |
