Hi Uncle Lau,

Thank you for the words of encouragement. I am sure I will enjoy my stay here in the forum as well as knowing more golfing kakis. Beer

I dont need a certified handicap here in Vietnam to play. SO am just still learning the technuques and hope to get to out to the course by end October. This is because I have many friends here in VIetnam that have been bugging me to pick up the game for almost 1 year and ever since I started, they have been rushing me to get on to the course with them.

Congrats on getting your proficency cert. 9I 100m I know it is good but my coach insists that I can do better and considering the fact I am paying for lessons, I am hoping to improve which I most certainly am. Hope to improve more. I am still stuck on the short irons and mid irons. Have yet to start on the woods & driver. My coach insist that I at least learn the techniques and habits for my short game before progressing further. WHo am I to say other wise.

As for getting my handicap, from what little I know, I would need it if I want to play in Singapore so am trying to rush it as my kakis are all going back to Singapore during CNY and they all insists I must join them for a game. Stretcher

Yaya.. it's good to practise more on short iron before going to woods & driver..
Initially, so eager to go woods & driver.

But after some time, I am eager to go back to short irons.. keke.
So so so so important.

See you around!

Did you mean 100y or 100m? Regardless, 9i for a beginner to reach that distance is pretty good. What you should strive towards is consistency. I assume that's what you're working on anyway Smile In the meantime, welcome also to the addiction Smile
