just as important as the hand grip is the actual grip, the model, type and size (including no of tape).

corded grip such as the GP MC makes a lot of difference to the actual grip pressure say vs a GP Tour Warp 2G. Soft grip vs harder grip, tapered grip, more 'parallel' grip (by tape), the grip size (midsize or use tape) etc

Also the softness of your hand, some got baby soft hands, hold silk fabric already complain too rough some have leather hands, hold durian also cannot feel anything...need to apply more hand lotion...... LOL just joking

some say to grip as as much as you hold durian with both palm.

can't be too firm (bleedin) or too light (drop to ur feet).Stretcher

try that. might help. ROFL
