haha, ironfist... doing such things will inevitably lead to you being extremely confused about your swing... think about this.. at the range, there will inevitably be some people who come to give u well-meaning advice about your swing etc... now, multiply that number by 10, and you get an idea of what posting your swing up for analysis would probably do...

and with everyone having a different swing... well..... goodness knows the nett effect of all these well-intentioned "suggestions"...

just my thoughts.. Very Happy

haha oh yah i didn't think of that huh.. i'd be shy to show my swing to everyone in GR too! Razz

and i totally agree MT. sometimes i go to the range and my friend bombards me with advice until my head's swimming with different swing thoughts and that usually doesn't bode well for my swing. well i guess fiddling with the slo-mo camera's just for fun and enjoyment amongst friends. just like golf should be! Actually, I see benefit in getting a pro like RSC to analyze my swing. It's just some tips and suggestions, and may even help fix some flaws which I'm unaware of (as well as the many which I'm aware of). But... that would need the consent of the person in the video Razz

true.. but im just afraid of having too many thoughts about my swing during address, which would lead to immense confusion. i've seen some of my friends hopping from coach to coach, only to find that they lose their swing at the end of the day and completely forget how to swing because there are just too many conflicting instructions from all the different coaches.. (no, i'm not talking about siaw8.) Very Happy

Well, then I would suggest that the comments from the coach be limited to say the top 5 issues. There's no point in the coach inundating you with a hundred flaws anyway. That would only confuse the golfer. Best to focus on the glaring points and have those fixed. These should be the basic and fundamental flaws. Everything else can take its own time later...

And your friends are heroes. Best to stick with a single coach. Every coach has their own style and preference. There's no perfect coach and neither will there be a perfect swing. Trying to fix everything will result in fixing nothing.

hmmm i guess it's just best to take everything with a pinch of salt and not take everything to be the gospel truth. if one has basic understanding of what goes into a golf swing then if someone tells you something wrong then you'd know better than try to incorporate it into your swing. but only if you have understanding lah. if blur like me then best to just listen to a coach that you trust. haha Very Happy
