Wear cap, apply sunblock for me.....in theory.

But I practically do not do the sunblock thingy, just wear cap only.

I'm allergic to sunblock, always break out in rashes after application. So far have not been able to find a usable brand. So for those of you who are ok, please apply liberally haha.

My sunburn prevention arsenal consist of just a cap, arm sleeves, sunglasses and plenty of water, not very useful but its the best I can do with

try Clinique? My cousins are also allergic to most common brands of sunblock. But the Clinique one seems to work well. It's pale yellow in colour...

Hope this helps...

for real heavy sweaters sun block not as effective....suppose to reapply but as we all know, most of us apply once and then stand in the hot sun for 4-5hrs. Most of the sun block already gone from excessive wiping of the sweat. Also cause most of us apply the wrong way (apply at the buggy holding area just before tee off). Good for those that hardly break a sweat, play whole game only a small patch of sweat on the shirt.

Just see how the korean or jap golfers cover themselves at our local courses....extra large hats, even larger sun glasses, neck covered, long sleeve shirts (covered over the gloves), long pants and always stand in the shade..no wonder their skin still so fair...

I suggest you use sunblock.

I'm guilty of not using it at times, but several years ago, I had some kind of "growth" on the face and panicked and went to national skin centre to see a dermatologist. Luckily he said it was just some sun damage, and helped removed it. But he strongly advised staying out of the sun or if really need, to use a good sunblock.

The sunblock he recommended was "Anthelios". You can google it, it's by La Roche Posay. You can get it from National Skin Centre or the NTUC pharmacy. It's not that expensive and usually I wait when they have offer to buy it. They have different formula's for face and body, etc to help prevent breakouts or other adverse reactions.

Better to use some sunblock as prevention than to discover later on some "weird skin condition" and fear about Melanoma.

Singapore is hot....but not in Dec.

In the middle of the year, its best to try to finish the game with least stroke so that one can avoid staying under the sun for too long.

I agreed that this is a good brand. I am using the "Roc Minesol". One of the best if not the best ha ha I have ever used. Guardian sells it. A bit ex compared to the rest but worth the money. MHO
