hi guys, i was advised not to exercise after my wisdom tooth surgery but my hands are itching badly.. anyone had any previous experience?? ie., played golf after extraction and nth bad happened?

if you are afraid of itchy and not the pain, why not...

after the surgery, your dentist would have sutured up the operation site. minimal bleeding should occur on its own.
Doing strenous excercise might cause the sutures to come loose thereby leading to more bleeding. Also, the excercise would increase blood pressure such that more blood actually reaches the op site. Golf, luckily is not a really strenous sport. Unless you bet heavy though..the adrenaline rush would increase the blood pressure also..
Dont think the bleeding would stop you from your love for golf.
But do go to your game with the packets of gauzes that the clinic would have given you.
IF theres bleeding, fold and bite onto 1-2 pieces gauze but make sure they are seating over the wound. The pressure would stop the bleeding.

Surgery in the mouth can be quite upsetting. Even if all goes well, you won't feel quite yourself. You may encounter swelling and discomfort. In any case, the pain (however minor) will be a distraction.

Why subject yourself to a round of golf when you're not focused? There'll be many opportunities to play. If I were you, I'd rest and recover asap first.

@technospaz: thanks for your opinion.. i'll see how it goes.. my only worry is the oozing of blood halfway through.. lately the weather had been too good to be at home

I think the last time my wisdom tooth removed (surgery) I have no other thought but to sleep whole day and night. Blood is everywhere.... gosh...
