since PAP kinkygarden doing tis (of which I am fuly supportive), I also like to recomend this.....if opponet flight mate late....lose 1 hole for every 5 min delay.

Quote :
This is a charge one PCF (PAP Community Foundation) kindergarten has implemented on parents, as a 'penalty' for those who are late in picking up their kids.

flower bed is not the same as GUR.. although both r free lift..

GUR means ground under repair.. some parts of fairways maybe need rest n repair to nurse them back to playing conditions..

so i think GUR shd be free lift.. so free drop within 2 club length from nearest pt of relief but not nearer to hole

at mbgc some areas r marked as flower beds which would hv allowed for free lift.. so the capts r suggesting tht all flower beds at mbgc shd be played as hazards ie 1 penalty stroke n dropped within 1 club length from pt of entry into the flower beds not nearer to hole. ie our own local rules

pls dont confuse this rule with GUR

i think GUR should be free lift but drop 1 club's length and not nearer to hole. more for practical reasons bcos we dun want MBGC to complain to us that we play in GUR and cause further damage.

Free Lift is always 1 club's length but hazard is always 2 club's length bcos it carries a 1 stroke penalty.

agreed that ready golf shd not apply bcos there is advantage to it.

i agree with agumon.....but hor poresia is correct about the 1 and 2 club length

"Free Lift is always 1 club's length but hazard is always 2 club's length bcos it carries a 1 stroke penalty. "

hmmmmm....must learn to control my kancheongness....my fastest round at mbgc was 3 hours......and it was a 4some

on sunday, 3 of us got around the front nine of OCC in 1.5 hours and screwed up the marshall's tee-off times on the back nine.....

Sorry to confuse you bros...just that at Marina, the flower beds and some bushes come with the orange sign "gur", and i never see actual "grounds under repair" in the course. So i assumed both are the same at mbgc. obviously The former is what the captains want to treat as hazard and the latter is the real mccoy as per usga rule. Cheers!

How about no mindfucking rule? ROFL

GUR will be GUR so the standard rule will apply. That means u dun hit out of areas that are damaged.

Flowerbeds are those where there are bushes n flowers. Nothing to do w GUR.

Ready golf can omit but if u r shooting in the 6s n 7s already whereas the rest of the flight all gunning for par, ask politely to pick up ur ball to prevent further slow play.

I'm ok w PW replacing Gman but her slot remains the same. Wanna watch matchplay not cat fight. Laughing

As for the cost, Pls pay Asahi so he can refund Gman.

This is one off hor. Too many last min pullouts with weird replacements will upset the balance of the force.

OT: I definitely conspermed have 25 kid on my team. Tried to break my arm w his shaft, take out my eye w his driver n use my drink can as an ash tray, all in a span of 18 holes.

Lo-Hei Game Details

Date/Day: 15 Feb 11, Tuesday

Time: 12.57 pm onwards (7 tee off times) Single Barrel from 10th tee.

Tee-Box: Blue tee for men, red tee for ladies

Format of play:

Fourballs Matchplay -
All four players play their own ball throughout; at the end of each hole, the low score between the two partners on each team is that team's score.
For example, Players A and B form one team. On the first hole, A scores a 5, B scores a 6, so the team score is 5 which will be used to fight the other team's best score. Only the best score will be used. The 2nd player's score will NOT be used. That is to say in the event there is a tie e.g. both teams score 5. It will be a draw. There will be no fight between the 2nd pair of scores.

So the two pairings will fight thru out the 18 holes. At the end of the 18 holes, the winning pair gets 2 pts, nil for the losing team and 1 pt each if it ends in a draw.
Accumulate the points for the other 5-6 pairs to determine the eventual winning team.

Special Rule

1) For this game, the local rule of free lift for flower beds at MBGC will NOT apply. That is to say, if a golfer hits the ball into the flower bed, pick up, drop ball at two club's length no nearer to the hole and incur 1 stroke penalty. NO FREE LIFT.

2) GUR (damaged ground) in play. Free lift. Drop ball at one club's length no nearer to the hole

3) No ready golf (including gimmes on greens). Furthest away players hit first. If a player hit out of turn, opponent may ask ball to be re-hit.

Wager:

1) Losing Team pays 70% of dinner and Winning Team pays 30%.
That is each losing team member would subsequently pay $41 to the winning team member playing in the same flight. ($41 was calculated as 70% of $58.60 per diner, based on 3 tables of $498 dinner working out to $1,758.43, including GST and service charge.)

2) Code of silence for losing team - haha......personal fave.
Losing team will have to be silent during dinner. Ok, ok, losing party can talk but if halted by winning party, then the losing party gotta hold his peace and suffer the silence. (All part of the wager and fun!)

Surviving is one thing. Feeding me poison ash was almost the last straw.

Just one big swollen lump on my forearm now.

Played well today though. Hope he doesn't do me in with the other arm come Tues.
