for a former pro, walking to range or course shouldn't be too bad.

In 15-24*C, its great.

In our 33*C with 90% humidity, I would think thrice.

@asahi....Thanks for the heads up. Have rolled a few Zen tour putters and they are solid. Also have used the training aid in the past.

@shamu....I will be in town for the next 4 years...so once I get settled and acquainted we can get some golf going.

FYI walking is not a problem...but I have to draw the line somewhere and walking a mile to go hit some nugs...well lets just say that more than likely not happen....I will just pay for the cab... Beer

Hi Dan,
nice to have you here. You've find the right forum where people work here 'full time' and their actual work is 'part time' (read : people spend more time in this forum more than they work !!) ... haha

Hope to catch up with you soon mate !

@Dave..Thanks for the welcome. Golf is like that. Quite addicting for sure. I remember being at school and checking my golfwrx account for updates or pm's about stuff I posted for sale. It can take over for sure.

Glad to be here. Hope that I can add a little bit from my experiences in golf and hopefully be a good contributor to the board. Eventually I will get to one of those range sessions and playing some golf. Still need my sticks to get here in one piece.....

I'm late to this party, still, welcome to Golf Republic Dan.

Judging from the responses to your thread, I can see you'll be gathering up some new kakis who'll be jio-ing you for a game soon. Very Happy

@Bird & Wilk...Thanks for the welcomes. I appreciate it. Can't wait to get settled in and get out there and hit some. Looks like this forum is the place to go for info on golf over here. So I am fortunate to have stubbled across it.

Been about 2 months since I have hit a ball, so it should be interesting when I do get a chance. I wish that I had brought my weighted club to swing in the meantime....oh well.

Eh bro, this is an ex-tour player leh, whose sticks can he use that won't either snap in half or have him snap hooking. ROFL

Dan, look up Big Fish Golf in Bukit Merah (tel: 6471 2272) if you have idle time, you'll get to meet quite a few from GR there, mostly equipment whores. There's a sofa set for coffee and conversation, two indoor putting greens, and an indoor Trackman setup along with the fitting workshop. Great place to while away the afternoons and try out his range of Big Fish Proto K shafts.

@Wilk...Won't be able to this Saturday. Got a few too many things going on still as we just arrived a week ago. I am not working currently (hope to find some volunteer work or internship) so I am in charge of trying to do the research for pre-schools for my son, and other things.

Once we get some things settled I will then be able to get away from time to time.

@Bird...That was several years ago and I hardly swing as fast these days.

I will check that place out when I get a chance. Is it kind of a social set up or is it more business like? I would hate to go there and just hang out, knowing that the guys in there think I should buy something. But I do like to try out gear that is for sure.... Beer

No worries Dan, it's both a social and a business setup. There is no pressure to buy, in fact, DGman thinks himself an awful salesman. Very Happy

Check out the place, or come down with one of us if you like. Most in here pop by there. Even if you don't buy anything, DGman is easily bribed by good food or solid coffee. ROFL

Most times though, you'll find something of his lying around that will poison you to eventually become a customer one way or another. It's just whether it's slow or fast working poison.

My first big bite of the poison apple was a Zen Putter, which he absolutely did not push to me at all. But I'm loving the results I get with it.
