New Record at Thai Long Drive Contest

My friend Kunnasak just called me and the great news is a new record of 347 yards was recorded in this year's Long Drive Event.

the winner is an 18 year old who is using the BFG Graman series 8, XXS. i don't know who came in second, but the 3rd winner is also using the BFG Graman 5 series in X flex.

those who did not win was amazed with the performance of the shaft and immediately wanted to reshaft their drivers.

the above winners were not sponsored but paid for their shafts. Last year's winner has immediately pulled out his Crazy Long and will be using the 8 series next week.

that's nothing.. i using graman also and i record 400++yards distance....

but my distance is from the pin.. haha

250 y guarantee...3 wood enough liao.

make sure its downhill, backwind and when the typhoon is at the back of you or we can try it at the changi airport runway.

i've reached 307 yds (280m) on my longest legitimate drive to date, no lucky bounces or wind helping, with the sq 5900's diamana R (US) spec shaft/driver. avg is only 220-250m though but would anybody suggest trying a different shaft or is the diamana stuff gd enuff?

btw, longest illegitimate drive was like 320m, with a bounce off a buggy path running across the fairway. ^^ what a feeling...

contestants before the final...you can see the winner Pakorn Pongwanit second from right...i got it wrong, he is 16 years old not 18. the 2nd runner up is first from the left. for a moment i thought Jason Chien became Thai.

more news, the ladies champion is Areeya Jutanukran who drove 283 yards and she is a 14 year old. she is currently using Crazy Long but her coach who is Shorthitter's good friend wants her on BFG Graman by next week.
